Every time I help others make progress and break through the language barrier, I feel something deeply beautiful and hard to explain, and I know it is one of the things I love most in life.

👋🏻 Hi, my name is Brandon and I am an independent language trainer, a native Italian speaker.
I am Sicilian, I have been living in Florence for 7 years, and I work online with students (mostly Chinese), artists and professionals from all over the world who want to learn Italian for study, work or passion.
I work on pronunciation, diction, natural conversation, Italian culture and mindset. Grammar is part of the process, but approached in a logical-emotional key, to make it more intuitive and easier to remember — it is not the classic method based on a pre-printed textbook, but a way to encounter, understand and absorb the living Italian language and Italian thinking.
This desire has been with me since childhood. In the town where I grew up, I often saw foreigners struggling because they were unable to communicate, which made them more exposed to isolation, misunderstanding or mockery. Deep inside, I felt clearly that, one day, I would want to do something for them.
In the years that followed, however, life seemed to row solemnly elsewhere, dragging me into circumstances that took me further from that reality. And yet, I never stopped believing in it, because I felt it was mine — deeply, profoundly mine.
From the age of 18 onwards, I went through a complex period, also due to my health. Despite this, I dedicated a large part of my time and energy to linguistic, cultural and emotional exchanges with people from many parts of the world. It was an intense journey, one that changed me deeply — and made me the language tutor I am today.
From this direct experience, and from a deep inner journey, my method was born: LA BUSSOLA ITALIANA® 🧭🇮🇹, the result of over 10 years of experience, study and research. A natural approach, based on direct experience of the language, on listening, guided exploration and linguistic awareness.
In my way of teaching, you will find presence, respect, empathy, enthusiasm and spontaneity. I do not consider the person in front of me a mere "student", but someone going through a journey of linguistic, cultural and personal growth.
Perhaps many people do not notice it, but learning a language — even one's own — means entering a different way of feeling, thinking and looking at the world. It is not only about memorising rules and words, but about slowly absorbing a way of living rooted in a culture. This transforms us over time, because it enriches and diversifies how we experience the world.
